CaSH direct

 Content Editor

We have developed CaSH Direct, to offer women aged 18 and over the opportunity to have their consultation carried out via telephone, to assess their suitability for a LARC (long acting reversible) method of contraception.

Telephone appointments are booked into a dedicated clinic which has appointments available at varying times, ranging from 9.30am to 6.30pm across the week (Monday to Friday).

Once an appointment has been booked, you will receive a phone call at the pre-arranged time from one of our Health Care Professionals, who will take a medical and sexual history and details of previous contraception and will discuss the methods of contraception available to you based on the information you have provided.  Once the assessment is complete, a suitable time for the procedure will be agreed and booked with all relevant information given to you verbally, via text message (SMS) or you will be directed to an appropriate web site. Written information or appointment letters can be sent on request.

CaSH Direct has exclusion criteria in place to ensure appropriate referral and safeguarding of clients:

  • Clients under the age of 18
  • Women requesting emergency contraception
  • IUD / IUS (coil) removal
  • Any other method of contraception
  • STI screening
  • Clients whose implant or IUD/IUS has already expired
  • Clients who require an interpreter
  • Clients with learning difficulties

To book an appointment simply call us on 01744 624998 and we will book a suitable time for your consultation.
